Where do these stories begin? And how do &#8220;I&#8221; find my place among them?<br \/>\nYannic Han Biao Federer\u2019s novel \u201cTAO\u201d is a story about origins and belonging, love and loss. It follows his search for traces along the fractures of his biography and the gaps in history, in Germany and Hong Kong. He started writing in order to make sense of his own family history. His novel \u201cTAO\u201d asks questions about how to narrate collective memory, who does memory belong to, and what is the commitment of memory.<br \/>\nOn September 16, Yannic Han Biao Federer, the winner of the 2022 Text Game Award, will be visiting Chengdu. We have invited translator and writer Li Hao, as well as novelist, playwright, and poet Yu Song, to engage in a dialogue with him.
