Now she&#8217;s a visual artist focusing on printmaking,\u00a0painting, collage.Magyar&#8217;s experiences from her extensive work\u00a0with biological systems in the context of collaborative projects\u00a0with science gives her deep understanding of biological\u00a0phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>In Greta Magyar&#8217;s work, the use of printing crafts and techniques\u00a0plays a specific role: the artworks combine unusual techniques of\u00a0copper intaglio printing, using everyday industrial materials such\u00a0as packaging with techniques of drawing and ink painting as well\u00a0as collage. However, bricolage is not her purpose. Her interest is\u00a0rather in the incorporation of time into the process. She reckons\u00a0with the individual steps that this process needs: elaborate\u00a0technical preparations or, like collage in some cases, a laborious\u00a0finishing. If one compares the large format panel painting\u00a0cultivated by Magyar with the medium of printing, it is apparent\u00a0how she lets herself be guided by the inherent will of the\u00a0respective medium and the requirements and history of the\u00a0material.
