Introduction

How might we employ a brush to swiftly document the myriad wonders of the natural world? Those frequently overlooked fragments of nature often yield infinite surprises. In neglected corners, one may discover the marvels of the environment: clusters of Common Cnidium and Buttercups in early spring, patches of Vetch, and the minute blue blossoms of Persian Speedwell. We once identified over ten species of wild flora flourishing upon a single manhole cover, an area of less than one square metre.
Birds dart among the treetops and hop across the grass; their diverse beaks and claws stand as a testament to the wisdom of survival in the wild. The extraordinary structures and intricate interconnections of all living beings construct a complex and refined world. Under the artist’s guidance, you will utilise your own unique lines and perceptions to sketch these forms. Through this process of focused observation, participants may find a sense of tranquility, rediscovering the gentle, restorative power that nature offers to urban dwellers.
